What’s the best way to spend three days in Rome? The short answer is, eating, drinking, and visiting the sites! In addition to mouth-watering Italian food (with Roman specialities), you have incredible historical sites and ruins all throughout the city.
Although Rome if heavily touristed, there are certain neighborhoods that provide more of a local charm. One of them is Trastevere, which is right across the river from the major sites. It’s filled with cafes, wine bars, restaurants, and local character. Charming during the day and fun during the night, we recommend basing yourself there for this three day Rome itinerary.
